BIBA’s June 2013 Luncheon Seminar will focus on the Latin American countries on the Pacific coast and the opportunities that they offer the Barbados offshore sector for growth and diversification.

Latin Jaguars: Peru and the Power of Free Markets

The Latin American countries on the Pacific coast, including Peru, Mexico, Chile and Columbia are experiencing strong growth at a time when most of the developed world is struggling. There are attractive opportunities for the Barbados international business sector to capitalize on in these markets and the guest speaker will highlight some of the exciting opportunities available in Peru in particular, as well as the wider region.

The speaker will present the case that the Latin Jaguars offer the perfect opportunity for Barbados to boost growth in the sector while diversifying away from our traditional international business markets which are facing a variety of challenges.

Mr. Michael Berry, President, Glenhuron Bank Ltd.

The featured speaker at this event is Mr. Michael Berry. Mr. Berry is the President and a Director at Glenhuron Bank Ltd., a post that he has held since 2002. Mr. Berry has a truly international background, having been born in Peru, educated in the United Kingdom, and having lived in Canada, before moving to Barbados.

Mr. Berry is a Chartered Financial Analyst and a Fellow of the Canadian Securities Institute.
